Colbert County completed the 2021 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 2A region eight, the Indians earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Colbert County's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Cleveland by a score of 35-7. Since 2010, Colbert County has gone a combined 87-55. Their 61.3% winning percentage ranks 19th in Class 3A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Colbert County has gone a combined 213-100. Their 68.0% winning percentage ranks 7th in Class 3A and 49th in the AHSAA. The Indians have been successful on the football field with twenty-two winning seasons during this time. The Indians will be under the direction of new head football coach Scotty Hannah as they enter the 2022 season. Coach Hannah served as an assistant coach at Centerville Tennessee last season. The Colbert County Indians will play in Class 3A region eight during the 2022 season. The Indians move up in classification to Class 3A. They may find the going slightly tougher with the move. Colbert County will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season. The Indians will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region eight this season. They have qualified for the playoffs every year since 2011 and are hopeful to continue that streak in 2022. The Indians open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Brooks on Thursday, August 18 at C.T. Manley Stadium. Last year the Brooks Lions finished with an overall record of 12-1 and in first place in Class 4A region eight. The Lions lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 4A playoffs to Oneonta by a score of 56-28. Colbert County and Brooks have met a total of 15 times on the football field.
